The website which I viewed is YouthCare Ministries’ and the following is the mission of youthcare which I totally see the coherence with what Dr. Bruce said in the video which I watched.
YouthCare ministries is a non-profit non-governmental Christian organization operating in Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi. The ministry reaches inner-city at-risk children and youth equipping them with tools necessary for academic excellence, leadership, life skills, and holistic growth so they become resilient healthy Christian citizens of Malawi. And the Mission of Youthcare is to enhance the lives of at-risk urban youth by equipping them with the tools necessary for academic excellence, life skills, spiritual growth and leadership capacity, while meeting their basic physical needs.
And youthcare is working towards its mission through these programs; Safe Haven Orphanage, After School (which I was part of since I was in grade 6), summer camps (I always enjoy this), High School, community clinic, Youth Empowerment and sponsorship programs (and I was also part of this)
Looking at this mission and what Dr. Bruce said as why UrbanPromise International came in being this mission is abiding to it. And UPI mission is to promote a transformational learning opportunity rooted in the model of Jesus Christ, which invests in Christian visionary leaders whose desire is to transform communities through following Jesus Christ, sharing the gospel with grace and mercy, promoting equality in education, and exemplifying servant leadership in their own lives and ministry.
